Cuckoo Farm Colchester
We were instructed by Hutton Group to design supply and erect 6 industrial units at Colchester for Easter Developments.
All six buildings, of this £1.5 million steel and cladding project, had the same cladding and steel specification and varied in size upto a maximum span of 36 metres. They were constructed on a greenfield site near the new Colchester football ground.
We decided at an early stage to speed the build program by providing composite panels by Corus for the roof, although the curved ridge (an Easter Developments trade mark) had to be constructed in a double skin system to achieve the desired curve radius. Wall cladding was mainly micorib composite panels with some feature cladding above the doors and adjacent the glazing.
The project was finished on time and snag free, both Hutton and their client Easter Developments were delighted with the end results.
